The lingo.
Channeling, distribution, retention — we explain everything in plain English. If we use a coffee word, we tell you what it means.
The first try.
Your first shot will be bad. That’s normal — even expected. Our tools and guides make the second one noticeably better.
The price tag.
Starter doesn’t mean cheap-feeling. Every Nudo piece is the one we’d hand a friend — tested, reliable, and not overbuilt.

The kit that gets you to your first good shot.
Tamper, dosing cup, distributor, knock mat, microfibre cloth, and a printed guide we wrote so you don’t need to watch four YouTube videos before breakfast. Free shipping.

Your first brew, in three honest steps.
Not a 14-minute video. Not a long article. Just the three things that actually matter for your first cup at home — with the tools that make each one easier.
Weigh it, don’t guess it.
A scale changes everything. Same beans, same grind, same weight in — and suddenly your coffee tastes the same on Tuesday as it did on Saturday.
Distribute, then tamp.
Use the WDT tool to stir the bed first — this breaks up clumps and stops the water from finding the easy way out. Then tamp level.
Taste before you tweak.
Sour means under, bitter means over. Pour into our sensory cup, take a sip, decide one thing to change next time. Then change just that thing.
We started Nudo because starting was the hardest part.
The shelf is full of equipment that makes coffee feel like a hobby for someone else. The forums gatekeep. The YouTube videos assume you already know what a portafilter is. We didn’t.
Nudo Lab is the tools and the guides we wish we’d had — the ones that say ok, you got this instead of well, actually...
Bad first shots, fixed.
One short email a week. One thing to try with the kit you already have. Unsubscribe whenever, no hard feelings.
